Level Shifter
This page is specifically about the 3.3v to 5v Logic-Level Shifter that I designed and sell.Find Yours at my Shopify Store
Hyperion-Specific Version
This version is designed specifically for Hyperion (HyperHDR) projects, as featured in my many videos on Abmilight Projects using HyperHDR, a fork of Hyperion. What you receive, along with a few extra essential items depending on which option you choose, is this:

On the rear (left) of the Level Shifter are two sets of wires. The pair of Green and White wires (top-middle) go to your Raspberry Pi for Data and Ground. The 3-pin JST connector (top-left) will connect directly to the input of your LED strip.
Now the "Front" of the unit:

On this Third Revision of the Level Shifter, I've added a heavy-duty 5-Volt Barrel Jack Input (5.5 x 2.5, center pin Positive). I have also added TWO type-A USB power outputs, one for your Raspberry Pi (with included cable), and one for anything else -- for example, your HDMI Splitter.
Connecting the Level Shifter
First Steps:
You'll see that we have the Level Shifter attached to a Power Supply, the LED Strip, and a USB cable providing power to a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W. Note that for the Pi Zero specifically, you'll use the OUTER-most USB port for power.
The data and ground wires (Green and White) are connected to the GPIO pins on the Pi:

Optionally, if you chose the Accessories Bundle, you can also inject power to the opposite end of your LED strip. This can help distribute power more evenly throughout your LED strip, reducing color variations -- especially on very long lengnths (larger TVs):

For a bit more detail on this step, see the Hardware Page on this website.
Now we need to connect our USB Capture Device and HDMI Splitter, so that the Raspberry Pi can receive video data.
In the following image is an example, using the Level Shifter to also power the HDMI Splitter:

With all of these connections made, you can now attach the devices to the rear of your television as shown in my videos.
See this page for links to all of the hardware required to make full use of this Level Shifter.
Then of course follow my full web tutorial to configure and set up the Raspberry Pi and HyperHDR.
Thank you for purchasing my Level Shifter -- it really helps my Youtube Channel, and helps me bring more and more content to you!
